GNSS VIEW / PRIVACY

Your choices. Clearly explained.

This page describes data used by the current GNSS View website.

Essential operation and preferences

Your browser contacts our hosting and delivery providers, including Vercel and Cloudflare. They may process IP addresses, requested URLs and technical logs to deliver and protect the service. The site stores language preference and your analytics choice in browser local storage. We do not promise a log-retention period we cannot verify across providers.

Observation position

Location access is requested only after you choose “Use my location”. You can enter a city or coordinates instead. Observation coordinates, height, time range, mask and system choices are sent to the prediction backend to calculate results. We do not include precise coordinates or raw observation queries in our analytics events.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics loads only on the production domain after you accept analytics. It records page paths, page titles, language and selected usage events such as opening a tutorial experiment or receiving a calculation result. Google may process browser/device information and network identifiers, and may set analytics cookies. Analytics is not the same as anonymous browsing. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled by our tag configuration.

Change or withdraw your choice

Choose “Analytics settings” in the footer to accept or decline. Declining keeps all learning and observation features available. Withdrawing disables future tracking, clears accessible GA cookies and reloads the page if the tag was already loaded. Previously collected data is not automatically deleted by withdrawing. Clearing browser storage makes the site ask again.
